When Paul said in 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought a good fight, “I have finished my course, I have kept the faith,” He most likely remembered the experiences and battles he fought to finish his course. Beloved, we must all fight battles to finish our course well. These are difficult times but nothing new occurs under the sun. Someone – somewhere has been through it in the past and someone, somewhere has overcame what we are facing today.

Sometimes we become so overwhelmed by the issues of life that we almost give up.  We cannot faint or give up when the evil days come like in a battle or warfare.  We must realize that the devil does not want us to finish our course well as Paul did.  Finishing our course is a decision we have to make. You must choose to be an overcomer and be determined in your heart to stand against every assault from the devil. Refuse to be defeated by the devil, resist him and he will flee from you. The devil will not give up on your soul and you should therefore refuse to give up your soul to him. We must learn to reject all his antics.

As we participate in this upcoming fast and prayer for the next twelve days, let’s treat it as a sovereign call of God to repent and pray according to His word in 2 Chronicles 7:14.  “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

As we pray through to success in these next twelve days, open your mouth and declare in Jesus name:

• I will fight a good fight, finish my course, increase my faith and finish well.

• I will subdue the enemies of my success and joy.

• I will experience divine peace, joy, gladness, and heavenly laughter.
